Mark Getty (born July 9, 1960) is a British businessman and co-founder of Getty Images. A member of the Getty family, which originally made its money from oil, he is the son of American-British billionaire philanthropist Sir John Paul Getty, Jr. ==Career== Getty attended Taunton School then read Politics & Philosophy at Magdalen College, Oxford.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The MT interview: Mark Getty )〕 Getty began his career with spells at Kidder Peabody in New York and then joined Hambros Bank Limited in London. He co-founded Getty Investments LLC Group, which holds the majority share-stake of the photographic agency Getty Images, with Jonathan Klein in 1993. Getty is the Chairman of Getty Images. Under his leadership it has become a major supplier of both commercial and private photographs, most especially for publications in the UK, U.S. and internationally. Getty is a member of the board of Getty Investments LLP. In 2003, Getty inherited his father's majority holding in the Wisden Group. In 2004 Getty was re-appointed as a trustee of the National Gallery in London. He is a regular member of the Sunday Times Rich List.
